Lincoln-Way Central High School Reviews

My daughter just started as a Freshman and she loves it. I love how many after school clubs they have to keep the kids involved. There is great school spirit from the kids and teachers alike. It is the oldest of the Lincoln-Ways, but I believe the best!

I am going to be a Senior this coming fall and I feel that LWC has really helped me to find myself and be prepared for the future. They offer so many classes and activities that it is hard for a student to not be active. I might harp on Lincoln-Way, but the truth is I really do love it.

Academically gifted child is being challenged like he needs. Thus far I am very pleased with the feedback I am getting. Teachers seem caring and dedicated. Please keep up the great work!

I graduated from Lincoln-Way Central in June 2008, and I immediatly missed it. Because of the activities, the great teachers, and the great community that surrounds Lincoln-Way, high school was easily the most fun I have ever had in my life. I went into high school with a resentment towards education, but now that I am out of high school, I hope to return one day to teach and to help give future students the oppertunity to have a wonderful high school experience.

I'm a senior at LWC, as I like to call it. I do have to admit, that any student at Lincoln-Way will get a very high quality education, especially for a public school. There are tons of activities, so nearly everyone can be involved. Most of the teachers are great, and care about the students, but (there's always a but) what really irritated me throughout my 4 years at LWC was the administration staff, and this isn't JUST the opinion of a student. Even my parents and numerous other parents I have spoken with can agree that the rules and regulations are a little 'overboard.' For example: 3 detentions just for taking a drink out of your water bottle? It's like the rulebook goes on foever, and whats shocking is that my parents agree, and their as about as strict as it gets. -- overall, a great academic experience!

This school is amazing and I'm so happy to have been able to go there. No matter who you are, you can find a place to fit in because there are so many clubs and sports teams. I have met so many amazing people through them and the coaches are great. All of the students have amazing pride in the school. All of the teachers are so commited to making sure that the students succeed. There's also a lot of great (and free) tutoring resources for if you're having trouble in your classes that are so helpful. I love going there so much because it feels like a huge family rather than just any highschool.

I feel very lucky to have gone to this school for 4 years. I have gotten so much out of it and have been able to grow and experience so much.

Wow! I cannot believe what this school has to offer. It is an amazing school that creates well rounded students. They have high expectations for all of their students, and they push students to achieve their personal best. Teachers are supportive and do what ever it takes to motivate students. The school expects excellence in academics, sports, clubs and sportsmanship. They have strict rules and firm consequences. It is a benefit to the students. There is a strong parent support network. This is a top notch high school.

Lincoln-Way high school is an abolute wonderful place. As a student there, i find school mre fun, i have friends ,i like my teachers, everyone is nice. Its an average school with its problems, like ne other school(i.e. bullying, fights) but it has the least of that stuff out of ne other school i have been to. I play on the Linclon-Way softball team...and if anyone is 'iffy' about their son or daughter playing a sport, don't be...Lincoln-Ways extracurricular activities are so much fun, and a great learning experience. Lincoln-Way keeps parents informed about almost evrything with their children..academics, sports, any problems, in emails, letter, phone calls, Licoln-Way is a very good school, and i cant wait till next year!!

The only main problem I had with Lincoln-Way was that it wasn't a very diverse environment. Otherwise it is a fantastic high school.

I graduated from LWC in 2001, and just recently graduated from Indiana University in May 2005. My experience at Lincoln-Way was extraordinary in every way, from the educational environment, teacher & administrative support, honors programs, extra-curricular activities, quality of the students, etc. I can also say that LWC sufficiently prepared me for higher education - much better than many of my college peers from other schools. Not only were the classes challenging (and placement sufficient for everyone, from Honors to Special Education), but the large community enviroment made the transition to a Big 10 campus simple. I graduated from LWC with a class of 1,100 students and nothing could have better prepared me for the real world. Another benefit of the school's size were the many programs offered. Several specialized classes from music to business to medicine were offered, and the extra-curricular activities are just phenomenal, with something for everyone (literally)!
